Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has slammed Mohamed Salah for his comments. About his future and lamented the club’s failure to offer him a new contract.
“I have to admit I’m very disappoint in Mo Salah,” Carragher said.
“Liverpool are facing Real Madrid in midweek and then Manchester City on Sunday. That’s the big thing for the club at the moment.”
“If Salah is giving interviews to the media while his agent posts cryptic messages, that’s quite selfish behaviour. They’re thinking about themselves, not the club.”
“In his seven years at Liverpool, Salah has only stopped to meet the media. While waiting for the bus after games twice. He decided to do so a third time at Southampton.”
Carragher also disputed Salah’s claim that his representatives have yet to see an offer and said the club should not just “give him what he wants” despite insisting he was in the club’s top-five greatest ever players.
“Right now, there’s obviously a big difference in the valuation,” Carragher said on ufabet http://ufabet999.app Sports’ Monday Night Football. “In terms of what Salah and his agent value themselves out, whether that’s financially, or in terms of length of contract to what Liverpool do.
“Of course Salah has the right to do that, but it’s a spotlight on himself at a time. When the team should be united in their pursuit of the Premier League title.”
Salah has been left frustrate by the club’s lack of offer for a new contract. Which is set to expire at the end of the season.
