England striker Dominic Solanke admits it means a lot to him to be back in the England squad for the first time in seven years.
The 27-year-old was recalled to the squad having made his first and only appearance as a substitute against Brazil in 2017.
“I’ve worked so hard to be back in this moment. It’s part and parcel of football. Everything happens when the time is right for you. Everyone’s journey is different,” the Tottenham Hotspur striker said. “
I wouldn’t have it any other way. I feel like this is the way it should be for me. And I feel like my game is clicking right now.”
Solanke has scored three goals in eight appearances in all competitions since joining Spurs from Bournemouth in the summer. “
